A 100-Mile Yard Sale Goes Right Through Virginia And It’s Filled With Treasures

Virginia will host a 100-mile yard sale along Historic Route 21 from July 24-26, 2020, featuring yard sales, open-air markets, and food trucks.

If you're a fan of bargain shopping, local events, and a good ol' fashioned road trip, you'll want to mark your calendars for the weekend of July 24-26, 2020. During this time, Virginia will be participating in an epic 100-mile yard sale that will wind through all different towns offering up some seriously sweet deals. Likely being the biggest yard sale in Virginia, you'll never know what you'll come across when you spend a few days exploring! Stretching from Harmony, North Carolina to Wytheville, Virginia, the sale promises to bring together local communities in one weekend of yard sale extravaganza. Here's more on the not-to-be-missed event:

Yard sales, open-air markets, food trucks, and more will line up along Historic Route 21 from July 24th - 26th, 2020.

This fabulous idea started in 2014 by a group known as T.A.B. (short for "Take a Break from the interstate").

The event was inspired by the hope of bringing economic development and tourism to the communities around this scenic drive.

Mapped out below, the route begins in North Carolina and travels north towards Wytheville.

In its opening years, the road market had wonderfully positive effects on the surrounding community.

Official reports indicate that restaurants along the route saw record-breaking sales over the course of the weekend.

This year is expected to be the biggest yet, complete with sales in nearly every yard, open air markets, and maybe even a little live music.

Just make sure your car has plenty of room as you prepare for a whole weekend of bargain hunting!

The US 21 Road Market may just be the most unique event of the summer. For more information, shoppers can call 1-800-553-2322.
