The One Epic Ride In Vermont You Need To Ride This Winter
Sledding, skiing, snowboarding...These are all fun things to do if you have a need for speed. Well if it's safety that's slowing down your thrill seeking speed, there is a little something that you may want to try. The Timber Ripper Mountain Coaster at Okemo Mountain is one epic ride in VT that you're absolutely going to love.
Visit Okemo Mountain Resort in Ludlow for 4 seasons of fun in the sun - and sometimes snow!
It's the perfect family getaway for some sledding...
Or skiing...
As well as some skating in the Ice House.
But you haven't fully experienced winter here until you take a ride on the Timber Ripper Mountain Coaster!
This scenic and exhilarating ride through alpine forests and along the contours of the mountain at Okemo's Jackson Gore is not to be missed.
The ride will start with a five-minute climb up 1,600 feet.
The climb is followed by a 375 vertical-foot descent along 3,100 feet of track.
You'll cruise through the twists and turns at speeds of up to 25 MPH, but it feels like 2,500 MPH!
See what the ride is like for yourself with this video by Ryan Baker on Youtube. Get ready for a wild ride!

You'll take this wild ride in a sled-like car that can fit one or two passengers at a time. Fear not - the riders are in total control of their speed, which gives you a real hands on experience. Drivers must be 8 years old and 52" or taller to operate the sled and riders must be 3 years old and 36" or taller to ride with an adult.
