If you're from Vermont, you know that there are tons of rustic houses, buildings, and old shops that have either been left to decay or forgotten about. Here are some interesting (albeit spooky) abandoned places in Vermont that nature has begun to take over. You can drive past some of these creepy places in Vermont, but we don't suggest hunting them down for an actual visit. 1. The ski mountain equipment that hasn't been touched in years.
You can spot this abandoned Vermont ski equipment if you're adventurous enough to explore deep into Wilmington.
2. The earth is growing around this eerie old restaurant.
Follow the staircase to nothingness...
3. This spooky setting was left to decay outside an abandoned Vermont house in Pownal.
Was the TV watcher abducted? Did he have to run for his life? Stay tuned...
4. This rusty box car in Randolph.
Makes you wonder what they forgot about that's still inside...
5. This cabin that just needs a little bit of roof work...

6. The inside of the Hyde Manor.
This haunted hotel in Sudbury was quite the mysterious place to explore and one of the most haunted abandoned places in Vermont. Unfortunately, it has been torn down.

This barn has since been torn down.
9. This part of Route 189 in South Burlington is clearly not in use anymore.
