This Zipline In Utah Is The Longest In The World, And You’re Going To Want To Try It
Now that the weather is finally getting warmer, it's time to think about adventures. We recently wrote about an amazing mountain coaster, and today we want to show you another fun activity that's both thrilling and scenic.
Zipline Utah is located at Deer Creek Reservoir, and it offers some seriously cool family fun.
Before you start your course, you'll have a short training on how to use the equipment, so there's no experience required to have a great time.
The zipline is the longest over the water in the world - stretching 3,900 feet.
It's also the longest zipline in the world where you don't touch the ground once you start - two miles total.
The 3,900 foot zipline goes right over Rainbow Bay.
The view is incredible!
There's a course here for everyone - from the full Screaming Falcon Adventure Tour, to the much shorter Out N Back Tour for beginners.
Courses and prices vary, depending on how long you want to explore.
When you complete the Screaming Falcon Adventure Tour, you'll start and end at 80-foot-tall towers.
In between, you'll ride ten ziplines and traverse seven suspended bridges. This tour takes 2 to 3.5 hours.
Screaming Falcon Adventure Tour also includes lots of stairs - more than 500.
If your fitness level isn't up to climbing that many stairs, no worries. You can choose a course with fewer stairs.
For the shorter Screaming Falcon Tour, you'll climb aboard the ranger for an off-road lift to the top.
You'll climb the tower and be treated to a stunning view of Deer Creek and the Wasatch Mountains.
Then, you'll ride the 3,900-foot zipline over the lake. The ranger will pick you up at the bottom and bring you back. This tour will take you about an hour to complete.
Other courses combine ziplines and towers for various levels of difficulty and time commitments.
