This Moonlight Hike In Utah Ends With The Most Delicious Dinner Ever

Experience a unique dining adventure with a snowshoe hike to a yurt at Solitude Mountain Resort in Utah.

When you're looking for a special dining experience, you'll find plenty of amazing restaurants in Utah. Here's a restaurant that's truly unique, and it's located at one of the Beehive State's stunning ski resorts.

Solitude Mountain Resort is located in Big Cottonwood Canyon.

Up here, you'll find fresh air, fresh powder and a whole lot of natural Utah beauty. You'll also find the Yurt at Solitude - a unique dining experience you'll definitely want to try.

Your evening starts with a snowshoe hike to the yurt.

Meet your guide at the Powderhorn Adventure Center at 5:30 pm. You'll be supplied with snowshoes and give you some basic instruction. The hike is about a half-mile long, and takes you through fragrant, snow-covered pines.

The yurt is nestled in the trees and surrounded by plenty of snow.

There's nothing like seeing this yurt under the stars!

Warm up inside the yurt while the chef starts preparing your meal.

The chef is your host for the night, and he'll prepare your four-course meal right in front of you.

You'll enjoy making new friends during dinner, too.

The yurt accommodates 26 people for dinner, and you'll have fun getting to know your new dining partners. Children age 13 and older are welcome.

The menu varies, but includes plenty of tasty, gourmet food.

This unique experience is a once-in-a-lifetime treat. Tickets are $135 per person, and include the snowshoe hike, four-course dinner, corkage, and soft drinks.

After dinner, you'll hike back down to the Powderhorn Adventure Center, this time guided by lanterns along the path and the stars up above. For more information, visit Solitude Resort’s website.

Have you ever dined at the Solitude Yurt? We'd love to hear about your experience!
