The Longest Covered Bridge In Utah, Legacy Bridge, Is 110 Feet Long

Compared to other states in the nation, Utah doesn't have very many covered bridges — but we do have a few. You'll find the longest covered bridge in the town of Midway, and it's a quaint, charming bridge that deserves a visit. Take a look at Legacy Bridge:

You can see Legacy Bridge right off UT-Highway 113, which runs between Heber and downtown Midway.

The bridge was built in 2002 and dedicated as part of the Midway Lane Gold Medal Mile for the 2002 Winter Olympics

To see the bridge up close, take the Midway Gold Medal Mile, which starts near Southfield Park. The bridge is one mile down the paved trail.

From Midway's Main Street, turn west on 100 South, then drive .9 miles to Southfield Park and look for the parking area.

Legacy Bridge spans over the Provo River. For most of the year, the river is quite low, but if you visit during the spring months, keep a close eye on kids and dogs.

At 120 feet long, Legacy Bridge is the longest covered bridge in Utah. The next-longest bridge is only 85 feet long.

The Gold Medal Mile trail and Legacy Bridge are quite picturesque, and you'll definitely want to bring a camera along on this adventure.

The trail is accessible to everyone, and it's a level, easy stroll. Dogs are allowed, but please keep them on a leash and pick up after them.
