This Quaint Little Village In Utah Is The Perfect Place To Spend An Afternoon

Gardner Village in West Jordan offers a unique shopping and dining experience with historic buildings and locally-owned shops.

If your idea of the perfect afternoon includes browsing through quaint shops and grabbing a bite to eat, then you need to head to West Jordan. Gardner Village offers way more than big box stores and shopping malls; you'll find tons of handcrafted items, offered by local shop owners here. Check it out!

In 1877, Archibald Gardner owned and operated a flour mill just west of the Jordan River. Today, the mill serves as a restaurant, and 22 quaint shops surround the mill, offering some of Utah's best local shopping.

Gardner Village is located at 1100 West 7800 South, West Jordan.

This charming village is laid out along cobblestone walkways, just like an old 19th century community.

Every building on the property is a historic structure, donated and brought to Gardner Village from all over the state.

Structures include old buildings of all kinds, including homes, shops, a train station...

...and even some old, renovated cabins.

You'll love spending the afternoon exploring the various locally-owned shops that sell everything from children's clothing to handmade chocolates.

Check out the charming covered bridge, and sit by the creek.

When you're worn out from all that shopping, pamper yourself at the Cottage Retreat Day Spa.

Enjoy lunch of dinner at Archibald's Restaurant. Housed in the old mill, this restaurant is full of rustic charm, and serves some of the best food you'll ever taste.

The shops at Gardner Village are open Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 8 PM; visit Archibald's Restaurant from 11 AM to 9 PM.
