For an insect experience unlike any other, visit Butterfly Biosphere at Thanksgiving Point. This huge glass building is full of gorgeous plants, ponds, and of course...butterflies.

The biosphere is home to thousands of colorful, unique butterflies! The dozens of different species come from all over the world.

This place is a lush, green sanctuary for butterflies, and it's a pretty place for humans, too! Visit year-round - it's always nice inside.

Keep an eye out for the butterflies! You'll find them on plants...

...railings and benches...

...and one might even land right on you!

Look for the little dishes of fruit placed around the biosphere, too. The butterflies love to lunch on some citrus slices.

For a unique experience, sign up for a Butterfly Release, where you'll get to help a butterfly make its first flight into the biosphere. It's just $4 to participate, and you can sign up for this experience Monday through Friday. It's offered from 11-11:30, and again from 5-5:30.

See some of the other creatures at the Butterfly Biosphere during Critter Encounters.

The Explorers here at the Biosphere get out some of the most interesting bugs and beetles for you to meet. These exciting interactions are available four times per day: noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m., and 6 p.m.

Are you ready to meet some cool new insect friends? Butterfly Biosphere is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.. Get your tickets online in advance.
