Not Much Is Known About The Abandoned San Antonio Facility Decaying In Texas

Most people would never dare to venture inside an abandoned asylum, especially an abandoned asylum in Texas, simply because the overwhelming negative energy within tells a tale of horrific tragedy, torture, and indescribable suffering. With that said, we'd like to mention that we've found conflicting information about the prior function of this building, with some reports saying it used to be a mental health facility. If those reports paint an accurate picture, this empty building in San Antonio represents the lives of the numerous people that came here for treatment, only to endure deplorable conditions and highly questionable forms of therapy.

We'd also like to add that the San Antonio State Hospital, just a few miles from this abandoned building, is still at its original site and very much functioning as a modern mental health facility.

This is one of the creepiest places in Texas.

Although very little is known about the true story behind this building, it is heavily guarded by the police today. Whether they're trying to hide something or just protect the property, no one is entirely sure, but those who have ventured inside the walls have attested to some very strange and frightening things occurring.

Just the photos alone will send chills down your spine.

There are 4 structures still standing today on the property, including the guard shack, main office building and facility for the obedient patients, the maintenance building, and the disciplinary unit, where electroshock therapy reportedly took place. The hospital was abandoned in 1996 for reasons unknown to the public, and they obviously left in a hurry, because trespassers have noted that papers are strewn about and most of the equipment is still sitting inside.

Some say this is one of the most haunted buildings in Texas.

Those who have been brave enough to investigate the property for themselves have reported screaming, moaning, doors slamming shut, and footsteps inside, especially in the disciplinary unit.

The rumors swirling around this place are nightmarish.

Supposedly, many people who came to this facility have been buried behind the buildings in unmarked graves.

Paranormal activity has been reported from numerous sources.

Some of the courageous souls who have stepped foot inside the asylum have even claimed to have seen "shadow people" and heard cries for help.

It's hard to imagine who would dare step inside.

Much of the property is now adorned with graffiti, but these walls still have a lot more to say, apparently.

We don't recommend visiting this place in person as there have been various reports of unsafe conditions.

One of the hallways inside the building is now empty of people, but it's not free from the horrific tragedies that likely occurred here.
