Whether it's the thrill of the hunt or the sheer joy bound to finding a treasure, it's a favorite Saturday morning pastime akin to driving through neighborhoods thronged with garage sales. Today, we've dug up five of the best flea markets in and around Nashville, and they happen to be some of our favorite places to get into the treasure-hunting spirit. Whether shopping with purpose or perusing for the unexpected, these local markets in Music City make for a fantastic bit of time out and about, so you should definitely hit them up ASAP!
1. Miss Lucille's Marketplace, Clarksville
Yes, Miss Lucille's may be a bit of a hike - but it's worth the drive. Check out their antique inventory as well as their revitalized furniture for sale. If you're a fan of shabby-chic, this is your spot. With over 52,000 square feet available for your perusal, you should probably plan an entire weekend away. ASAP.
2. Phoenix Flea Market, Old Hickory
Phoenix Flea has a nice blend of high end, luxury antiques mixed in with sweet knick-knacks and more normalized lamps and couches. It's a great spot for wandering and has some of the best inventory near Nashville.
3. Porter Flea, Nashville
Open on a seasonal basis, Porter Flea features local businesses and artists wares from the Nashville and Middle Tennessee area. You'll want to check their ever-changing calendar for new dates and hours, but this is a flea market that only comes around a couple times a year - it's worth the planning!
4. Nashville Flea Market, Nashville
The Nashville Flea Market is held at the fairgrounds once a month, on the last full weekend of the month. It's considered amongst the top ten flea markets in the nation, and boasts between 800 and 1,200 vendors on any given weekend. Crazy, right?
5. Robinson Flea Market, Madison
Located just outside of the Nashville city center, Robinson Flea Market in Madison is a fun secondhand shop that's great for clothes and furniture. You're bound to find a neat vintage trinket somewhere throughout the store. Plus, the prices can't be beat!
