Get Lost In This Larger-Than-Life Maze In South Dakota For An Unforgettable Adventure
Did you know that South Dakota is home to a ginormous maze? It’s so big, in fact, that it’s the largest, permanent bi-level maze in the Midwest, covering over 39,000 square feet. While it might not look like much from the road, stop here, and it will likely be the coolest things you do on your family vacation!
Note: This attraction opens for the season in May, and it’s definitely a place you should put on your to-do list!
You’ll find The Black Hills Maze at 6400 S Highway 16
Rapid City, South Dakota. If you’re in or around the area and looking for an adventure (and to maybe burn off some energy) this family amusement park is something you've got to experience.
Get lost in the larger-than-life labyrinth and make your way through 1.2 miles of bridges, walkways, and towers.
The maze can at times be a little tricky, but the friendly employees will be around if you need a pointer or two!
At each tower or bridge you reach, you stamp your card to showcase your success and ensure that you find each one!
This bi-level maze changes every 2 weeks, so just because you’ve conquered it before, doesn’t mean it will be a breeze next time! Plan for the maze adventure to take at least an hour.
If you’re seeking the ultimate challenge, come on out on a Friday night for “Flashlight Fridays.” Meandering through the maze in the dark puts a twist on this already challenging adventure!
Other daytime activities include Maze Mountain . . .
Batting cages, water wars, mini golf and more!
This attraction truly has something for everyone, and adults and children alike will have a ball at this diverse interactive amusement park. For information on all the attractions, rates, and hours, feel free to browse their website. They take group reservations and offer fantastic package options!
