Find Out Who Comes Out On Top In South Carolina At The Columbia Shrimp & Grits Festival

When it comes to food, there isn't much South Carolina is better known for than shrimp and grits. It's a dish born out of our beautiful Lowcountry and eaten at breakfast, lunch, or dinner, although, traditionally breakfast. All who love this culinary treat absolutely must add the Columbia Shrimp & Grits Festival to their bucket list.

On Saturday, June 24th, 2023 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., area restaurants will compete in Columbia's 8th Shrimp & Grits Fest at Seawell's on Rosewood Drive downtown.

This year, 10-12 restaurants are expected to participate.

One restaurant will receive the "Columbia's Best Shrimp & Grits" award by a panel of judges, and there be a winner in the "People's Choice" division, selected by you!

Tickets for adults cost $45 each, are $25 per child (under the age of 21), and include unlimited shrimp & grits samples from restaurant participants, door prizes...

Various cash bars will be selling beer and wine in the Fest area, so be sure to bring cash for payment if you want alcoholic beverages with your shrimp and grits.

Last year, The Grand won the Judges' Choice Best Shrimp and Grits and Best Creative Shrimp and Grits! Smokedsc took the People's Choice Best Shrimp and Grits award.
