There’s No Chapel In The World Like This One In San Francisco

This tiny chapel was among the first buildings erected in San Francisco's Presidio on September 17, 1776. The Presidio Chapel has been a site for religious ceremonies since Native Americans held this land sacred. The present day site was built in 1931, and it is a fine example of Spanish Colonial Revival-style architecture. The chapel is graced with a breathtaking views of the San Francisco Bay, making it an incredible venue for special events. The Presidio Chapel is located at: 130 Fisher Loop, San Francisco, CA 94129.

The chapel is located within the cultural heart of the Presidio, near the Inn at the Presidio and the Presidio Officers’ Club​.

The Presidio Chapel is also home to the Interfaith Center at the Presidio.

Art has always been an important part of the chapel’s appeal.

A large wall mural of the Peacetime Activities of the Army is located in the reception area. Scenes depicting the Presidio’s rich history surround Saint Francisco, who is portrayed in the center of the fresco.
