Learn About Rhode Island’s Dark Side On A Providence Ghost Tour

Providence Ghost Tour offers authentic, nightly ghost tours in Rhode Island, exploring local history and paranormal activity.

Rhode Island is famous for many things. Admittedly, one of them is paranormal activity. Considering Rhody is one of the oldest states in the union, it makes sense -- and thanks to a company called Providence Ghost Tour, you can learn all about it and possibly experience it firsthand.

Providence Ghost Tour was founded by friends Courtney and Mike, who turned their love of local history and all things paranormal into a business in 2006.

Mike still checks in from time to time, but Courtney is currently the sole owner, and she and her team are both friendly and knowledgeable.

You won't hear a lot of tall tales on this tour. Every story told is true.

The company is all about authenticity, and each story is carefully researched and considered.

Nightly tours start at 8 p.m., when you'll meet the guides who will lead you by lantern light.

Then, you'll stroll through the city streets in the footsteps of local literary giants and all the other notorious people who once called Rhode Island home.

You'll learn the stories that keep Brown University and RISD students awake at night.

Both university campuses are riddled with ghost stories that will give you goosebumps.

Each tour lasts about 90 minutes and only costs $25.

Children's tickets are $15, although you'll probably want to avoid bringing young kids who are easily spooked.

Providence Ghost Tour is an enlightening and interesting experience.

Bring your camera and any paranormal research equipment you might have, because occasionally, the spirits will become active.

Providence Ghost Tour is officially open for the season, and tours are currently being offered every Friday and Saturday night. To learn more about this unique experience and book a tour, check out this site.
