Museum days are such a fantastic way to spend a little time relaxing inside while also getting some good education There are lots of great museums in Rhode Island to pick and choose between. With natural history, living museums, and art galleries, you could spend a lot of your time in the Ocean State just strolling through spaces and learning. One museum we found particularly fascinating is the Museum of Work and Culture in Woonsocket.
This beautiful and inspiring museum is located right on the banks of the Blackstone river.
The goal of the museum of work and culture is to accurately tell the story of the immigrants who came to work in the mills along said river in search of the American dream.
As a visitor, you get to follow the path of these immigrants by visiting various recreated settings that were a part of their daily lives
The journey begins in a Canadian farmhouse and takes you through time to experience living and Working in Woonsocket as the century turned.
There are nine immersive exhibits in total as well as a few extra artifacts and tidbits sprinkled throughout the space. There are even some hands on games for the kids and kids at heart in the group!

The attention to detail is truly flawless, you will find yourself lingering in each spot wanting to make sure you don't miss a single thing.
What's so cool about this museum is that it gives you a true peak into how people used to live and work over 100 years ago, right in the same area that they were doing just that.
