The Mesmerizing Christmas Display In Rhode Island With Thousands Of Glittering Lights

Rhode Island may be small, but that doesn't mean we don't go big for Christmas. A few families, in particular, take their holiday lights display to the next level. This year, the Picozzi family in Warwick is celebrating their 10th year with a dazzling computerized Christmas lights display. Take a drive by 75 Grist Mill Rd. in Warwick and prepare to be blown away. Don't forget to tune in to 97.1 FM on your car stereo to see the animated display dance to the music!

Dancing Christmas Lights

For 10 years, Frank Picozzi has been using several types of controllers that let his computer control the lights. The programming takes 5 to 10 hours for every 30 seconds of music!

This magic doesn't happen by itself!

Frank starts in October and it takes him 6 weeks of working nights and weekends to get the display up and running.

Santa Night Every Saturday

Every Saturday in December, kids are treated to a visit from Santa. The Jolly Old Elf visits from 7 to 8:30 with kids of all ages.

Kids can drop off their letters to Santa.

Santa's mailbox is always there for kids to personally deliver their letters to Santa.

And all letters are answered!

And every child gets a letter back from Santa himself!

The big question is, can it be seen from space?

With thousands of lights, including pixel LED lights that can change colors, the space station astronauts better stay on the lookout.

The family collects donations for The Tomorrow Fund.

The Picozzi family also has a donation box for The Tomorrow Fund, helping kids with cancer at Hasbro Children's Hospital.
