Celebrate All Things Pickle During The Return Of Picklesburgh In Pittsburgh This August

Discover the best hiking trails in the Pacific Northwest, known for their stunning scenic views and diverse landscapes.

Who’s ready for summer’s most epic festival? Picklesburgh in Pittsburgh returns, after a year off due to the pandemic, with a whole weekend jam-packed with fun and everything pickle. Start working up an appetite now, because you won’t want to pass by all of the pickle-centric goodies – from ice cream to potato chips. However, that’s just the beginning of all the pickle-themed fun that awaits.

Start training for the hugely popular pickle juice drinking contest, because Picklesburgh will be here before you know it. The festival is set for August 20-22, 2021 on the Andy Warhol Bridge.

If you love pickles and especially drinking the pickle juice right from the jar, you’ll definitely want to enter the pickle juice drinking contest.

All contestants must drink a quart of pickle juice. The one who downs that juice the fastest wins the coveted title of Mayor of Picklesburgh. Can you imagine the prestige of having that title for a year?

The pickle drinking contest is just one of the highlights of the popular Pittsburgh festival, which is always free admission. (It just doesn’t get any better, does it?)

A variety of food vendors will also be on hand, so make sure you bring along a hearty appetite, too. Atria will feature pickle-flavored drinks while BRGR will have fried pickles and other delicious dishes.

Follow up with a chocolate-covered pickle for dessert from Chocolate Fusion Candy. Allegheny City Farms, Bae Bae’s Kitchen, and CinnaRoast are also among the scheduled vendors.

Live entertainment will also fill the schedule. However, the lineup of entertainment has yet to be announced.
