Here in the beautiful state of Oregon, there's no limit to the amount of incredible things to do and see. Everyone can enjoy the Beaver State's gorgeous scenery, no matter their age or abilities. From strolling through a beautiful garden to soaking in a natural hot spring, there are plenty of awesome, leisurely ways to experience Oregon's natural beauty. Here are 16 unforgettable adventures that just about everyone will love:

16. Visit the Painted Hills.

Everyone should experience Oregon's amazing Painted Hills for themselves. This incredible site is located at the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument and there are multiple easy trails that wind through the rolling, colorful hills.

15. Go bird watching.

One awesome way to spend a day is to go birdwatching. There are plenty of great places to see these amazing creatures, including Sauvie Island, Yaquina Head, Malheur Wildlife Refuge, and more.

14. Soak in a hot spring.

13. Wander through wildflowers on the beautiful Rowena Crest.

Rowena Crest is a wonderful place for a leisurely stroll, especailly in the late spring and early summer months when the fields are full of blooming wildflowers. The Rowena Plateau Trail is a great place to start for anyone looking for a short, easy hike.

12. Go "glamping" in a yurt.

Want to spend a night in nature but don't want to go through the hassle of tent camping? One awesome option is to rent one of the many yurts or cabins that are available from Oregon's state parks and campsites.

11. See a real life shipwreck.

Check out the Peter Iredale (located near Fort Stevens State Park) for an unforgettable day trip. This amazing slice of history washed ashore over a hundred years ago and still remains lodged into the sand at Clatsop Spit.

10. Relax on a beach.

Everyone can enjoy a beautiful day relaxing with a picnic and a book on the Oregon coast. On a warm day, be sure to bring boogie boards for the kids!

9. Go stargazing.

There are many places in Oregon where, if you stay up late, you'll be able to see some incredible stars painted across the sky. One great place to see the stars is at Sunriver in Central Oregon, but of course anywhere with clear skies and little light pollution will put on an incredible show.

8. Ride the Wallowa Lake Gondola.

Take the Wallowa Lake Tramway on an unforgettable ascent going from Wallowa Lake to the top of Mt. Howard. You'll find incredible views of the surrounding landscape as well as a lovely trail and the Summit Grill, where you can grab a delicious lunch.

7. Take a road trip.

There are endless possibilities for amazing road trips in Oregon. Here's a photo of highway 101 which runs along the coast. It's a beautiful place to drive, stopping at beaches, lookout points, restaurants, and hotels at your own leisure.

6. Float down a river.

5. Take a whale watching cruise.

The Oregon coast is a great place to see whales. There are lookout spots on the shore, or you can take to the sea on a short whale watching cruise.

4. Have a picnic.

In my opinion, picnics are always a great idea. Bring your family, friends, and a bunch of potato chips, and head somewhere beautiful for lunch.

3. Get the ultimate view of Crater Lake by cruising around Rim Drive.

Rim Drive is an awesome way to see the amazing Crater Lake without having to exert much energy. This scenic road wraps around the rim of the lake and there are tons of incredible viewpoints to pull over at.

2. Visit the wondrous Multnomah Falls.

Everyone will love visiting this amazing waterfall. Multnomah falls is one of the tallest waterfalls in the country, and certainly one of the most majestic. Here you'll find numerous hiking trails of varying difficulty as well as a paved trail that leads to the iconic bridge. There is also a lodge at the bottom where you'll find food, coffee, and souvenirs.

1. Stroll through the Portland's Washington Park.

Located in the west hills of Portland is the enormous, beautiful Washington Park. This amazing place is home to many gorgeous gardens including the Japanese Garden (pictured above), the famous International Rose Test Garden, Pittock Mansion, and more. There are many easy (and wheelchair-accessable) trails to stroll along.
