Tucked away in the hills of eastern Oklahoma is a geological waterpark formed by smoothed over rocks, that creates pools and slides for an entertaining ride down nature. This natural waterslide is known as Bathtub Rock and is located in the J.T. Nickel Family Nature and Wildlife Preserve in Tahlequah. Check it out because no summer is complete without a ride down this epic natural waterslide.

The J.T. Nickel Preserve is home to 17,000 acres of astounding beauty and environmental protection areas that are filled with spring-fed creeks, forests, woodlands, prairies, wildlife species and so much more. It is located northeast of Tahlequah in the Ozarks.

This natural waterslide is a little hidden gem the locals have been visiting for years. It's the perfect spot to go for an easy, summer day trip.

The waterslide flows from a spring-fed creek and overlooks the Illinois River.

This natural waterpark is located at a creek crossing along a gravel road inside the preserve. There is parking right by the creek crossing, so you don't have to walk far to access the slides.

The rocks have been cut deep and some holes are deep enough to jump into and get fully submerged. You can slide down the rocks or sit back and relax in the cold water.

There is no charge to visit this natural waterpark, and to avoid the crowds, we recommend visiting during the week.
