The Las Vegas Drive-In has been a fixture in the Vegas Valley since 1966. In 1971, it was purchased by The West Wind Drive-In that has been family owned and operated since 1952. Today, the West Wind family has expanded to become the largest drive-in theater chain in the world with four in California, one in Arizona, and two in Nevada. The second Nevada location is in Sparks and has also been around since 1971.

The atmosphere at West Wind is relaxed family fun mixed with an old-school drive-in vibe. Add to it the latest technology, and you have an unforgettable drive-in experience.

Remember the excitement of packing up the car with the family, blankets, and pillows and heading off to the drive-in for a night of family fun? Well, that longstanding tradition lives on at the West Wind's two Nevada locations.

Waiting around for the movie to start? It doesn't have to be boring. Oftentimes other patrons are tossing around a Frisbee or a football before dusk.

The Las Vegas Drive-In originally had one screen. Today, the West Wind Las Vegas has six screens, and the El Rancho has four screens where customers can enjoy the same first-run films here as are showing in indoor cinemas.

What would a night at the drive-in be without snacks?

The West Wind's concession area is quite ample. From Orville Reddenbacher popcorn to Nathan's famous all-beef hot dogs to Pepsi products to pizza to nachos, there is something for everyone.

The West Wind Drive-In uses the latest digital technology to bring viewers crystal-clear pictures, and the sound is piped into vehicles versus FM radio (instead of those awkward squawk boxes), thus combining the old-fashioned vibe with modern technology for a unique movie viewing experience.

ON Tuesdays, West Wind offers family fun nights with reduced admissions and a variety of entertainment before dusk.

Pets are welcome; however, like the kids, they rarely stay awake for the second feature.
