I Visited Mariah Carey’s Holiday Bar In Las Vegas — And It’s As Festive As You’d Imagine

Mariah Carey is decking the halls in Las Vegas in more ways than one. 

Not only is the Queen of Christmas currently headlining in her holiday residency in Sin City, but she also launched Mariah Carey's Holiday Bar. Created in partnership with Bucket Listers, the festive pop-up bar at On The Record, Park MGM's signature nightlife venue, is an experience to add to your must-do list this season.

What to Expect From the Holiday Bar

The 11,000-square-foot space is decked out with over-the-top décor, from shimmery snowflakes and hanging ornaments to garland everywhere, fully decorated Christmas trees, twinkling lights, illuminated floor tiles, and color-changing strobe lights. Even On The Record’s classic Rolls-Royce DJ booth in the main bar is adorned for the holidays. 

But that's not all. The pop-up bar features everything from backdrops recreating her iconic albums to immersive photo opportunities, including a life-sized cutout of the singer, surrounded by large columns with “All I Want for Christmas Is You” written in gold, a sleigh that you can hop into for a quick pose, and an awards wall highlighting some of her most significant career accomplishments. 

Specialty Holiday Cocktails

After your picture-perfect moments, head to the bar for seasonal drinks like the Queen of Christmas Cocoa, a spiked hot chocolate topped with whipped cream, and the Heartbreaker Holiday Martini, made with Ketel One vodka and peppermint syrup, served with a crushed candy cane rim; both of which feature the singer’s Black Irish Original Irish Cream Liqueur. 

Other beverage options include the Sweet Fantasy Fashioned, with Crown Royal whiskey, bitters, simple syrup, and cinnamon; the Blackberry Butterfly, featuring Jack Daniel’s whiskey, blackberries, bitters, simple syrup, and St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram; and the non-alcoholic Lambily Punch, a refreshing mix of lemon, pineapple, and orange juice with orgeat, grenadine, and soda water.

So Much More Than You'd Expect

As far as entertainment, sing and dance your heart out to “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which is played nearly every 30 minutes, along with a catalog of her signature hits and holiday classics from other artists. In addition, a massive TV screen behind the main bar displays music videos suited for the occasion. 

There's an outdoor patio with a double-decker vintage bus (another fun photo op), a “Letters to Mariah” station to write to the Queen herself, and ongoing snow showers. Other highlights include private karaoke rooms, a secret speakeasy, and a merchandise area with holiday attire and limited-edition vinyl records available for purchase.

Know Before You Go

Mariah Carey's Holiday Bar is a ticketed experience and is open to guests 21 and older. Tickets include 90 minutes to soak up the magical décor, festive music, and all things MC, along with a welcome cocktail. There’s also a late-night option, plus the choice to add on karaoke.
