The Stone Arch Bridge is an iconic landmark in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The bridge was built in 1883 as a railroad bridge spanning the Mississippi River.
The bridge’s iconic arches - 23 in total - are made of granite and limestone. They’ve stood for more than 130 years.
In 1994, the Stone Arch Bridge was converted to a pedestrian bridge. It spans 2,100 feet, making it a popular place to walk and bike. It's also the setting for many popular Minneapolis events.
