Lord Essex Steakhouse is a fantastic spot located within the Kahler Grand Hotel in Rochester, Minnesota. But of course, you don't have to be a guest at the hotel to enjoy the restaurant.
Step inside, and it's like being transported back in time. The restaurant has been around for nearly a century, and it shows. In fact, it looks like it could be even older! The dark wood and leather details make it look like a medieval castle.
The detailed carpets and stained glass partitions also add to the centuries-old atmosphere. This dining room provides the quiet, intimate atmosphere you want for a special night out.
Of course, it's not only the decor that's special at Lord Essex. The food is phenomenal, too. The dinner menu has options for carnivores of all types.
For example, try a filet mignon or a ribeye. All of the beef is USDA prime, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to your liking. A wide array of sides may accompany your meal.
If you prefer to share, the Excalibur is a bone-in ribeye meant for two. It's the perfect way to enjoy a meal with someone special.
And if you crave a seafood meal, salmon or lobster are both excellent choices.
When you're done with your dinner, order a decadent dessert. The menu includes pie, cake, torte, and more. You'll never walk away hungry from this beautiful steakhouse.
Lord Essex Steakhouse is open 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily. For more information, take a look at their website and Facebook page.
