There’s A Little-Known, Fascinating Train Park In Minnesota And You’ll Want To Visit
End-O-Line Railroad Park and Museum in Currie, Minnesota, offers a variety of train-themed attractions and historic buildings for visitors to explore.
Train lovers take note: Minnesota is home to some of the best train-themed attractions you'll ever find. From train-themed restaurants and hotels to museums, the Land of 10,000 Lakes has no shortage of fun places to visit if you're into all things locomotive. One of the coolest train spots in the state is actually a fascinating train park, and you'll want to visit as soon as you can.
End-O-Line Railroad Park and Museum is located in Currie, Minnesota. It's in the southwestern corner of the state, 168 miles outside of Minneapolis.
While it's a bit of a drive for most Minnesotans, we're confident that you'll love your experience there.
Make your first stop the Visitor Center. Here, you will find interesting history and sights, including a large scale model train exhibit.
Also of note are the several historic buildings on the property. They are some of the first buildings in Murray County, including a church, general store, school, and a replica of the courthouse.
You can even go inside! The one-room school house will take you back to a simpler time.
Outside, one of the coolest attractions is the authentically restored depot that looks just like it did when it was first built.
You can also take a ride on the historic turntable. Dating back to 1901, it was used to turn trains around at the end of the line!
You can even take a step back in time by walking the rails of the old train route that used to pass through the area.
Of course, you can't have a train park without a train. End-O-Line has a few, including a steam engine and a boxcar.
There are so many things to do at End-O-Line Railroad Park and Museum, it's almost too many to list. From a playground to a picnic area to all the trains, this spot is going to delight any train enthusiast.
