The Zumbrota Covered Bridge Festival is located in the charming southeastern Minnesota town of Zumbrota.
The town is surrounded by beautiful scenery and full of lovely people. But its most famous attraction is definitely the Zumbrota Covered Bridge.
This bridge dates back to 1869, though its roof wasn't added until 1871. In 1932, the bridge was moved to its present location.
Despite its history of construction, the Zumbrota Covered Bridge stands strong as a beautiful testament to years gone by.
The Covered Bridge Festival is a great opportunity for locals and out-of-towners alike to celebrate the early history of the charming town.
Festivities include fireworks, a library book sale, a quilt show, and lots of food vendors.
Kids will love the games, petting zoo, face painting, and other activities.
The grand parade is also festive event, with plenty of floats and fun. All of these events are centered on Zumbrota's historic covered bridge.
