Boston Has Its Very Own Global Christmas Market And You’ll Want To Visit
The Cultural Survival Bazaar at Boston's Prudential Center offers a festive Christmas market experience with authentic, fair-trade goods from around the world.
At this time of year, holiday markets make for cheerful shopping destinations. Christmas markets originated in Germany and provide a great excuse to wrap up warmly and mosey between stalls, sipping the hot beverage of your choice.
Boston has a Christmas market that’ll give you the same festive experience, access to handcrafted goods for everyone on your gift list, and support Indigenous Peoples around the world.
The Cultural Survival Bazaars are held in New England several times a year, but the one taking place in the Prudential Center between December 15 and 17, 2017 is especially well-timed for Christmas.
Here you’ll find home goods…
…jewelry…
…accessories...
...artwork, and more.
Traveling the globe is a dream that many people share. But this unique event brings the world to Boston.
When you buy from a Cultural Survival Bazaar, you know that goods are authentic and artisans have been fairly treated.
It’s fascinating to learn about different cultures and craft traditions. At the same time, you’re helping to make sure these traditions continue.
The Prudential Center is located at 800 Boylston Street. If you’ve been here before, you know that it’s huge — use the entrance at the corner of Huntingdon Avenue and Belvidere Street.
This Cultural Survival Bazaar opens at 10 a.m. each day and closes at 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and at 8 p.m. on Sunday. Learn more about the mission of this non-profit organization here.
Once you’ve checked everything off your Christmas shopping list, amble on over to Eataly, for a meal that’ll keep your good mood going for the rest of the day.
