The Nantucket Daffodil Festival is a glorious springtime celebration of daffodils.

It happens every year on Nantucket Island and is one of the highlights of the season.

The festival is jam-packed with amazing activities for the whole family.

First of all, there’s the antique car parade where dozens of gorgeous vintage vehicles show off their daffodil decorations.

The Daffy Hat Contest is also a fan favorite. Decorate a hat and compete for the top spot!

Pooches and kids can enter special costume contests.

If you’re snacky, be sure to stop by the family picnic at Children’s Beach or lay out a feast at the Sconset Tailgate Picnic.

In the market for some great daffodils for your garden? This festival gathers some of the best blooms in the state and you can buy enough bulbs and plants to turn your whole yard yellow.

You can also attend art shows, exhibitions, contests, or simply admire the myriad daffodil window displays around town.

Attending the festival is free, though some events do charge admission.
