The Rockport Candle Company is a small operation tucked away in a scenic waterside cottage.

They offer all manner of delightful scents and candles for sale, but you can also sign up for one of their DIY scented candle workshops.

Under the guidances of a candlemaker, you’ll be able to create your own custom fragrance by combining two or three fragrances to make your own signature scent.

Next, you’ll pour two scented candles to take home with you. You can give one away as a gift, but they won’t judge you if you decide to keep both!

You’ll also be able to customize your candles with handmade labels that can include your special fragrance’s name, your own name, and other details.

While you wait for your candles to "cure," i.e. cool and harden, you can browse the shop’s wares and hang out with family and friends.

The price of the DIY candle making experience is $30 per person. Considering this includes TWO handmade, personalized candles and 15% off everything else in the shop, that’s a pretty good deal.

Each candle making session runs between one and two hours. Feel free to bring snacks and drinks!
