Hot Air Balloons Will Be Soaring At Maryland’s Carroll County Balloon Festival

There's no need to travel all the way to Albuquerque for a hot air balloon festival. This one in Maryland is full of colorful fun. Read on to learn more about Carroll County Balloon Festival, which is sure to be packed with activities, delicious food, and more. Check out the details below and save the date for the family-friendly festivities.

Save the date(s) for August 28th and 29th. That's when Carroll County Balloon Festival will be taking place in 2021, which is located at Carroll County Agriculture Center.

Tickets are $20 for adults 12 years and older, $5 for children 6 to 12 years old, and free for children under 6 years old. Plan accordingly.

This bright festival is fun for all ages, with plenty to do. You can even go on a passenger balloon flight or a tethered balloon ride. If a hot air balloon ride has always been on your bucket list, now is the time!

Note that hot air balloon rides are an extra fee and can be purchased in advance on the event website (linked at the bottom of this article).

There will also be plenty of vendors onsite, including dozens of craft tents and food vendors as well. You certainly won't go hungry!

There will also be a Walkabout balloon, which allows you to actually step inside of a hot air balloon. Bring your camera for a one-of-a-kind photo op.

And don't miss the Kids Zone, which will offer plenty of games, prizes, and a miniature train ride as well.

Stay until nightfall to experience the balloon glow. Seeing these giant balloons all aglow makes for one magical way to end the day.
