1. Lights on the Bay
Lights on the Bay at Sandy Point State Park is a must-visit holiday tradition. For over a decade, Sandy Point State Park has transformed into a drive-through light display show each holiday season. Visitors will admire over 60 displays, each of which is bound to put a smile on your face. This year's event is scheduled for November 19th, 2023 - January 1st, 2024.
2. Winter City Lights
Welcome, one and all, to Winter City Lights! This epic Christmas light display near Baltimore, Maryland is one that belongs on everyone's holiday bucket list. It's the largest holiday show of its kind in the Washington D.C. area and includes over 1 million twinkling lights! Visitors will love the opportunity to walk through an immersive 1.5-mile-long trail of lights, music, and even snow. Trust us, you'll just have to experience it for yourself. The show will be open nightly this year between November 24th, 2023, and December 24th, 2023.
3. Winterfest of Lights
Prepare to be absolutely enchanted as Northside Park transforms into a Christmas wonderland. As you navigate a paved path surrounded by twinkling lights and animated displays, you can sip on hot cocoa and even take a picture with Santa. And don't forget to check out the famous 50-foot Christmas tree while you're there! 4. Sailing Through The Winter Solstice
One of the longest-running Maryland events this year, Sailing Through The Winter Solstice will take place between November 2023 and March 2024. For a truly enchanting experience, you'll want to visit after the sun has set and the lights shine extra brightly.
5. Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center
Undoubtedly beautiful year-round, the Annmarie Sculpture Garden in Southern Maryland is absolutely transcendent during the holiday season. 6. Gaithersburg Winter Lights Festival
Each year, the city of Gaithersburg hosts one of the most dazzling drive-thru Christmas light displays in Maryland. Head to Senaca Creek State Park, where you'll enjoy a 3.5-mile drive through no fewer than 450 illuminated displays and twinkling trees. This year's event is scheduled for November 24, 2023 through December 31st, 2023 (with the exception of December 25th).
7. Festival of Lights
Last but certainly not least, the Festival of Lights at Watkins Regional Park is one that will make you feel like a kid again, no matter your age. This drive-thru interactive light show includes countless one-of-a-kind displays that will come to life right before your eyes. Plus, there's something so convenient about getting to experience all the holiday magic from the convenience of your own car!
