The Realistic Dinosaurs At Raptor Falls Mini Golf In Maine Make For A Roaring Good Time

Raptor Falls Mini Golf & Ice Cream in Arundel, Maine, offers a unique mini golf experience with animatronic dinosaurs and locally made ice cream.

Is there anything that screams school is out and summer is officially in session more than a trip to play mini golf? We say no and that's why we're always on the lookout for the best spots to visit. In a place like Maine where tourism is huge and people love to be outside, there's certainly no shortage of great spots to try. We recently came across one in southern Maine that we can't get enough of!

Driving along Portland Road in Arundel, you might not guess that dinosaurs roam just feet away! The sign for Raptor Falls Mini Gold & Ice Cream is unassuming. Just the way we would plan it if we were home to ancient creatures.

Of course, by "roam" and "ancient creatures" we're referring to the animatronic dinosaurs that make this unique mini golf place so special.

This 18-hole mini golf course is relatively new, arriving in Maine during the summer of 2019.

It was no easy feat! The dinosaurs that make Raptor Falls so cool are huge and they were carefully constructed and painted to look totally real.

A visit means spotting dinos like Megalosaurus looking out for rogue golf balls and unruly kids!

Of course, no kids are unruly here because they're having too much fun with these moving and roaring dinos.

Each hole has been carefully planned and constructed to provide the perfect experience. This place is huge!

From the water features to the perfectly manicured lawns, Raptor Falls truly feels like a vacation. Even for those who are already on vacation in Maine.

Enjoy the golf game and then be sure to grab some fresh, locally made ice cream from Shaker Pond.

This is a fantastic place to visit with kids, but don't be afraid to make a trip with grown-up kids as well. Everyone will find something to love here.

Raptor Fall Mini Golf & Ice Cream is open Monday through Thursday from noon to 8 p.m., Friday from noon to 9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. You can learn more by checking out their website or following them on Facebook. They can be reached at 207-467-3131.
