For over a century, Kennebunkport has been a popular summer destination for tourists visiting Maine. In the early 1900s, tourists would arrive by train and then take a trolley to their lodging.

Climb aboard this vintage-style trolley and you’ll be treated to a fascinating glimpse into Kennebunkport’s long history, from the indigenous peoples who gave the area its name to the shipbuilding industry of the 1800s, along with more recent history.
The open-air trolley, with its quaint wooden benches and classic red-and-white exterior, will take you through town and along the coastline on a 60-minute educational adventure. There’s no better way to really get to know the Kennebunks.
After the trolley tour, set off on foot and explore the historic heart of Kennebunkport, where you’ll find buildings from the late 18th and early 19th centuries - around when the town was in its shipbuilding heyday.
