The One Winter Activity Everyone In Iowa Should Try At Least Once

Iowa finally has a little bit of snow, and although it may not be enough to facilitate proper sledding, this great outdoor sports venue has the answer.

Sleepy Hollow Sports park is located at 4051 Dean Avenue in Des Moines.

They've made some changes this season.

They are still making their own snow to help mother nature along.

They keep their sledding and tubing hills covered in snow all winter. They also have a thrilling mini-luge that pretty much everyone should try at least once.

There used to be a lot of skiing and snowboarding on the slopes of Sleepy Hollow, but this year they've decided to focus on family-friendly sledding and tubing. And of course, there's the luge!

The folks at Sleepy Hollow have already pumped seven million gallons of water to make snow so far this year.

They groom the slopes daily and the entire park is lighted at night for safety.

Slop patrol is on duty here at all times.

There's a rental shop for snowtubes and sleds that are famous for going extra fast.
