This nearly two-month long festival in Georgia is one of the longest-running Oktoberfests in the entire country.

People visit from all over to the country to set up shop in the Alpine Village of Helen for one of the biggest and best celebrations of German culture.

For those of you who have never been to Oktoberfest before, it is so much more than steins of delicious German beer.

There are parades, live music, local events and community activities, plus dancing, lederhosen, and scrumptious plates of food.

The festival begins in September running on Thursdays through Sundays, and then becomes a daily celebration throughout October 27th, 2019.

If you’re looking to indulge in some Oktoberfest fun that is a bit quieter, we recommend visiting on the weekday…because weekends sure do get rowdy!

Admission costs $8 during the week, $10 on Saturdays, and is free to attend on Sundays—food and drink will cost extra but are totally worth it.
