The Cherry Blossom Festival in Macon, Georgia, might just be the most anticipated event of the entire year, welcoming spring with tons of festivities and thousands of gorgeous blossoms.

The International Cherry Blossom Festival in Georgia is a delightful annual event that focuses on the beauty of nature in The Peach State.

This nearly ten-day event draws thousands upon thousands of people to watch the stunning Yoshino cherry trees in full bloom.

It's been over 40 years since the inaugural celebration, each year gets bigger and better.

While the trees are the highlight of this entire festival, there is so much more to see and do here during this week and a half in Macon.

For starters, visitors will be able to participate in the carnival rides at Carolyn Crayton Park, which is fun for the whole family. There are also festivities every weekday at Third Street Park, where you can enjoy free donuts, ice cream, and soft drinks.

In addition, there is a nighttime concert series, free with admission into Carolyn Crayton Park! Also, enjoy an evening of fun at the finale of the entire event where fireworks light up the entire night sky, and attendees can enjoy tethered hot air balloon rides.
