Get Your Adrenaline Pumping At Georgia’s Coolest OHV Trail, Houston Valley
Houston Valley OHV Trails in Georgia offer a thrilling 25-mile ride through the Chattahoochee National Forest for off-highway vehicle enthusiasts.
First things first, let’s not bury the lede here, Georgians. One of the coolest OHV trails within the state is none other than Houston Valley, located within the forested canopies just west of Dalton. For those who aren’t familiar, OHV stands for an off-highway vehicle, which commonly includes ATVs, dirt bikes, recreation utility vehicles, and the like. Within the Houston Valley OHV Trails in Georgia, visitors can bring their OHVs and take them to the mud for an epic ride through the wilderness.
We can already tell you that if you’re worried about getting a tad bit dirty then this trail is not for you.
The Houston Valley OHV Trails in Georgia are set within the Chattahoochee National Forest and allow OHV riders to trek through the wilderness.
This 25-mile system of trails offers something unique to all riders, from easy trails to more difficult terrain.
Just make sure before you visit you contact the Conasauga Ranger District after a significant rainfall because the trails may need some time to dry.
A few things to know before you go - reservations are not required to enjoy the trails, however, you must have your own equipment.
Visitors will need to pay for a day pass if they intend to use the trails, which is $5 per operator each day, or $50 per operator for the whole year.
Open season runs from April 1 through December 31 each year, and there is limited dispersed camping if you want to spend the night after riding all day!
