Enjoy A Summer Weekend Of Family Fun At A Truck Festival That Makes Wishes Come True At Connecticut’s 21st Annual Wishes On Wheels

Ready to get out of the house this summer with the family, while helping out an amazing cause? This year, Wishes on Wheels celebrates its 22nd year of helping children's wishes come true with fabulous events and opportunities that raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation and offer a day of fun.

The event is an exciting annual tradition for Connecticut Wish kids who get the opportunity to pick their favorite truck and get to ride along as a guest in a long truck convoy that leaves from Rentschler Field and is escorted down the highway by the Connecticut State Police.

In 2019 the convoy for Wishes on Wheels consisted of 647 vehicles, making this event the longest truck convoy in New England.

Once the truck convoy returns to Rentschler Field, the fun doesn't end. The family event continues with food and fun activities such as face painting, costumed characters, and more.

In 2019, Wishes on Wheels was excited that they were able to donate a check to Make a Wish that was worth $90,000 from this one-day event.

Have double the fun this year! May 22, 2021 leads off the Wishes on Wheels event with a Food Truck Fest and Truck Show. Then, be sure to mark your calendar for the big event on September 19, 2021!
