Is something getting you down? Maybe nothing is wrong per se, and you could just use a little time in the great outdoors? If you answered yes to either of these hypothetical questions, we have just the place for you, as there is nothing better than a day on Colorado's own Cottonwood Lake:
Located southwest of Buena Vista, Cottonwood Lake is a beautiful body of water that is surrounded by an equally gorgeous landscape.
Featuring pristine, crystal-clear water, Cottonwood Lake is the epitome of Colorado, as this alpine treasure is situated in the middle of the 14,000-foot collegiate peaks and boasts activities that everyone can enjoy.
Whether you are looking for a place to relax with a good book, swim or splash around, fish, or boat/kayak/paddle board, you will find your new go-to at Cottonwood Lake!
Have we died and gone to heaven?
What is a gorgeous lake without equally memorable trails? Cottonwood Lake has those, too.
When you walk or ride, keep your eyes peeled for birds and other wildlife!
In addition to Cottonwood Lake itself, the area also offers seasonal (Memorial Day through mid-October) camping a la designated RV and tent sites.
Please note: Reservations are not accepted at the Cottonwood Lakes campground. Designated sites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
