One little-known destination in Arizona that's just waiting to be discovered is the Ignite Sign Art Museum, Located in Tucson, this is one fascinating hidden gem just waiting for you to visit.
Ignite Neon Art Museum first opened its doors in 2018. This unique museum was started by Jude Cook who owned his own sign business many years ago. About a decade ago, he started to restore some of the best-known neon signs in Tucson and continues to do so today.
Cook also amassed his own collection of neon signs over the years and finally decided to share his collection with others by opening up his own museum. And if you have a chance to come to Tucson and check out Ignite Neon Art Museum, it's well worth a stop!
This museum is enjoyable for all. You'll marvel at iconic and nostalgic neon signs like the 76 and TEXACO signs that are part of the collection.
The museum offers plenty of interactive displays as well as scavenger hunts that kids (and adults) of all ages can enjoy. You can solve puzzles and even create your own signs just for fun!
And every Saturday, you can witness Cook and museum volunteers work on sign restoration -- it's fascinating to watch.
Occasionally, the museum hosts classes where you can learn how to work with neon and create a sculpture. Classes are taught by museum owner and sign expert, Jude Cook.
