This Alaska Destination Was Named One Of The 50 Most Beautiful Places In The World

Denali National Park in Alaska is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, diverse wildlife, and North America's tallest peak.

It's not hard to believe that Denali National Park has been named one of the most beautiful places in the world. With mountain ranges that seem to defy gravity, a wide array of beautiful animals, and scenery that takes your breath away, this beautiful park deserves its recognition.

If you're building your ultimate bucket list, this stunning place deserves a spot right at the top.

Denali National Park is six million acres of wilderness in the heart of Alaska. The entire area is larger than the size of New Hampshire.

The park offers a mixture of various types of landscapes.

You can enjoy mountains, taiga, glaciers, and more while visiting the park. The area is actually located within the impressive Alaska Range, home to North America's tallest peak. There are so many different things to see and experience within this area; in fact, you could spend an entire day hiking through the stunning landscape and never get bored!

There's only one road in the entire park, and it winds 92 miles through Denali, all the way to Kantishna.

There are renovated school buses that you can ride in that will take you all the way to Kantishna on the dirt road. It's an amazing opportunity to see more of this tranquil wilderness without hiking or backpacking in.

North America's tallest peak, Denali, resides in the center of the park.

Its name means "the high one" in Athabascan, and it is designated well. It is an awe-impressive 20,310' tall, and many climbers try to ascend it every spring and early summer.

Even though glaciers cover over 16% of the entire park's land area, there's an incredible amount of wildlife around.

The vegetation you'll find will depend on what altitude you're at within the park. In the lower areas of the park, you'll find forests of spruce and willows. Moose enjoy these areas, and you are more likely to see one of these impressive creatures in the lowland.

There are an estimated 350 grizzly bears that make their home in Denali National Park.

There are also 13 packs of wolves, numbering at 51 individuals. You'll also find rabbits, Caribou, Dall Sheep, and even coyotes. The park is teeming with wildlife, and you'll find it in the glacier fed rivers, barren rock faces, and dense poplar forests.

Regardless of what season you visit, exploring Denali National Park is truly a once in a lifetime experience.

Open year round, there are a number of activities for you to delight in within the park. Mountain bike, backcountry hike, or ski your way through this amazing countryside. However you choose to spend your time here, you'll be awed by the majestic landscape that surrounds you.
