Christmas In These 7 Delaware Towns Looks Like Something From A Hallmark Movie
It’s the most wonderful time of the year — the holiday season! In Delaware, that means decorated storefronts, historic home tours, and lights around every corner. A few Delaware towns take holiday decorating to the next level, and wandering through their downtowns will make you feel like you’re in a Hallmark Movie. Check them all out below.
1. New Castle
With colonial-era homes all decorated for the holiday, spending Christmas in New Castle feels like a step back in time. Enjoy shopping at small businesses in the historic district or book yourself a Victorian Tea with the New Castle Historical Society.
Downtown Milford goes all out with the holiday decor, and this tiny town really feels like it's straight off of a movie set. Head here for dinner at the Georgia House if you need an excuse to make the drive.
Not only does Lewes proper decorate homes and host light displays, parades, and celebrations — but Lewes' biggest park, Cape Henlopen, is home to Winter Wonderfest! This magical Christmas Village is the best place to go to feel like you're at the North Pole.
Newark is a great place to shop and dine this holiday season. Cross your fingers for snow, which turns the normally bustling Main Street into a quiet and serene winter wonderland.
5. Rehoboth Beach
Rehoboth might boast the brightest tree in the state, and the Bandstand lights up, too. Visit Santa's House on the boardwalk and enjoy brunch at Victoria's for a beautiful weekend adventure.

Our capital city really gets into the holiday spirit with caroling, a giant tree, and light displays around every corner. Particularly around the green, this old-fashioned Christmas town will be your own little paradise.
Wilmington becomes a holiday wonderland starting right after Thanksgiving. With small businesses up and down Market St. decorating their storefronts and the River Rink giving Delawareans a place to enjoy some winter magic, Wilmington is a fairytale town this time of year.
