Located at the nexus of Ocean View Parkway & North Atlantic Avenue, the charming Addy Sea Bed and Breakfast has been enticing travelers for decades. The history is hinted at in the late Victorian architecture, featuring rustic cedar shingles, weathered by the ocean environment, and gingerbread trimmings similar to those in the famous Oak Bluffs section of Martha's Vineyard.
Addy Sea was built in 1901 by one of the original residents of Bethany Beach, Delaware, John M. Addy. He intended for it to serve as a summer home for his family. The property was one of the first in the area to have indoor plumbing and gas lighting.
When the depression hit the United States economy hard, the second generation of family owners began renting out rooms for extra income. This led to the contemporary use, as an oceanside escape for Delaware travelers.

During the day, activities abound. The property is located right on the beach and just a short walk from the hustle and bustle of the boardwalk, where visitors can dine and shop to their hearts' content.
