If There’s One Exhibit You Need To See In DC This Summer, Make It This
DC is known for, well, many things, but mostly museums. We have so many to choose from and there is always a fantastic rotating display of exhibits that Washingtonians and tourists stand in long lines to see. But there is one completely exhibit coming to DC this summer that you actually must see!
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate
Let’s start off by saying that the National Building Museum just might be the most underrated museum in all of DC. Most people just don’t know about it but they really should. Because first of all, it’s gorgeous…
But they are also are known for doing some of the most interesting installations and exhibits in the district. Like when they had a massive labyrinth a few years ago.
Each structure has a unique acoustic style and there are different instruments in each chamber where visitors can explore how the structures modify sound, light and human interaction.
The Backyard BBQ takes places from 4-9pm on Thursday and Fridays and 11am-9pm on Saturdays and Sundays and you can enjoy food, beverages and live music.
It’s a summer celebration you do not want to miss! You can get tickets for Hive online on the National Building Museum’s website. The Hive and the Summer Block party will run until September 4th.
