Unbeknown to most, the small town of Uncansville in Connecticut is actually it's own mini Las Vegas.
This small town is home to Mohegan Sun, which is one of the largest entertainment and gaming centers in the nation.
The Mohegan Indian Tribe of Connecticut occupied this area of our state historically, and now the land in which this massive casino sits upon is a reservation.
The name "Uncansville" actually derives from Uncas, a Mohegan sachem.
Mohegan Sun is home to three incredible casinos, over 1,000 luxury hotel rooms, two spas, a golf course, and dozens of shops and restaurants.
Who needs Vegas when you have all of this entertainment right here in Connecticut?
This space is also home to Mohegan Sun Arena, so you can catch an extra special show after your gaming, shopping, or dining.
