We’re lucky enough to have many beautiful state parks and state forests in Connecticut. We may be densely populated, but we also have plenty of land that’s been set aside for preservation and recreation. One of the Nutmeg State’s best natural refuges is the James L. Goodwin State Forest. This magical oasis spans parts of Chaplin and Hampton, and it’s absolutely gorgeous.
