New York native, Jay Carlucci, bought the Dew Drop Inn in 2006 and when he was shopping, he didn't even want a building with a kitchen. He was looking to open a neighborhood bar and quite frankly the food just wasn't his main interest. But today, the restaurant is much more renowned for its food than for its spirits.
The owner's vision for the bar was unusual and shortly after opening, he removed every light beer from the drink offerings. He added many craft beers and customers kept returning for the exotic brews that were served.
In 2008, Carlucci burned all of his menus and started from scratch to begin to bring a more unique fare to his patrons. And with that, he has introduced some of the most outlandish chicken wing dishes to the menu and the customers love it.
Probably the most strange wing offering is the peanut butter and jelly wings. Even though it sounds odd, somehow it works and these chicken wings get great reviews. It is even served with a side of marshmallow fluff for dipping!
Another crowd favorite is the Cajun garlic butter bacon wings. Topped with a a whole lot of bacon, how could you go wrong with this choice?
The sea salt and vinegar wings are full of flavor. They are marinated prior to cooking and come out with a crispy skin.
