16 Reasons Why You Should Never, Ever Move To Colorado
I am going to go out on a limb here and guess that word got out about Colorado being the greatest state ever. (Ugh!) Our state is getting to be too crowded (primarily by the Californians… double ugh!) and it just needs to stop. You do not want to move to Colorado, my friends. In fact, the next time you hear someone you know talking about moving to Colorado, the Centennial State, refer them to these 16 reasons as to why you should never, ever move to Colorado:
5. ...and The Strong Arm, Frank Azar. Two truly bizarre, weird things about living in Colorado. You don’t want to turn on the television and see these guys each and every time, do you?
7. Elevation sickness is a real thing, people! It will knock you out before you know what hit you. Denver is a mile high, and it can be a real adjustment to some people.
There is a special place in hell for the person who thought that Colorado only needed one major roading running north and south, and one running east and west. With a population booming like we have, we’re going to need a couple more highways.
13. ...and nobody can drive worth a darn. It feels like the drivers here failed their driver’s education class at some point, and never bothered to go back.
15. When you live here, you are obligated to take out-of-town visitors to Casa Bonita. It’s kind of famous, and kind of awesome. And definitely a tradition.
16. Most importantly, the natural beauty of the state is guaranteed to ruin you for life. You’ll hate the gorgeous sunsets, towering mountains, and a list a mile long of fun things to do.
Denver is known as the Mile High City because it sits at an elevation of 5,280 feet, about a mile high up into the atmosphere! Some people experience altitude sickness when arriving in Denver for the first time, because there is less air pressure and decreased oxygen.
What are the best things to do in Colorado?
Colorado has so many amazing things to do, that its hard to choose just one. It’s famous for it’s incredible hiking, rock climbing, and even outdoor concerts. There’s great skiing and snowboarding, and tons of ways to enjoy the outdoors.
