I don’t know about you, but when I think of farms, I think of animals, fresh produce, flowers, and essentially everything else besides beer… but did you know that beautiful farms and tasty hops can go hand-in-hand? Take, for instance, this Colorado farm brewery that is both little-known and unexpectedly awesome:

You’ll find the innovative Colorado Farm Brewery in Alamosa, and it’s a delicious surprise hiding in the countryside.

Though founded in 2017, the story of Colorado Farm Brewery actually stretches back 80 years, when Ray Coody broke ground on his family homestead in Southern Colorado.

Over eight decades and four generations, it morphed from a sustainable farm to the Colorado Malting Company before becoming the brew farm it is today.

So what can you expect when you visit? Obviously, there is plenty of tasty beer.

The brews crafted here are made barley and rye grown right on the property.

You can also take farm brewery tours or stop by for one of their special events.

There is both indoor and outdoor seating available with fun games to take part in when the weather is warm.

Oh, and you’ll also find some of the best views in the entire San Luis Valley!

The Colorado Farm Brewery is located at 2070 County Road 12 S. in Alamosa and is open Thursdays and Fridays from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturdays from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
