There couldn't be a more aptly-named hike than Dream Lake in Colorado's Rocky Mountain National Park. The trail showcases Colorado's natural wonders all in one fell swoop. You'll feel like you've stepped into a painting as you observe the stunning landscape spread out across the lake.
While hiking the trail you'll see the crystal blue waters of Dream Lake, the lush greenery of the National Park forest, and in the distance, the snowy caps of the mountains. It's a scene fit for a postcard.
The 2.2-mile out-and-back trail begins at the Bear Lake Trailhead and passes Nymph Lake along the way. This trail is categorized as easy and is manageable for hikers of all skill levels.
The trail is so popular that the park service runs a shuttle from the Park & Ride near the Bierstadt trailhead to the Dream Lake trail. It's free and runs from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
