We’ve already discussed Eureka Springs and its penchant for quirkiness, but there’s a sort of town within the town in Eureka Springs that is so wonderfully interesting and unique that you need to know about it. You see, in Eureka Springs you’ll find a small village full of artists. These kind artists are more than willing to invite you in so you can look at their art, purchase their wares, or just stand in awe at all the wonder around you.

The Art Colony is located at 185 North Main Street in Eureka Springs.

Calling this small colony a "town" might seem like a bit of a stretch, but it really is an entity unto itself.

You are going to find nine buildings there, all totally full of art, artists, and studios where art is being made.

There’s also an unbelievable courtyard, the perfect place to observe the magic all around you.

In this little village, you’ll find fourteen art studios where artists come to work on their craft.

You’ll also find storefronts where artists sell their work. It’s a pretty good idea to support local art, and you can’t beat buying something from such a charming place.

All in all, you can’t find a more whimsical place in the Natural State than this little village where art reigns supreme.

Though artists keep their own hours, the best time to stroll through the Art Colony is Wednesday through Sunday, from noon until 5 p.m.
